On a beautiful spring Sunday the Kit Carson Club hosted a social potluck and clean up of the Cascade Falls park south of Hot Springs in Fall River County.  Typically the gates are locked from September 30 to May 30.  In conjunction with the United States Forest Service that administers the park, the Kit Carson Club has agreed to clean the site so that the gates can be open a month earlier and a month later.  Over 17 people showed up including the Libertarian candidate for district 30 Senate Gabriel Oakes of Keystone.  Trash was not only collected but sorted for recycling by Rajni Lerman of Hot Springs.  The first visitors from Minnesota showed up shortly after the opening of the gates.  A big thanks to all, particularly Neil Miller who spearheaded the idea.
