The Black Hills Classic took place in Hill City this past Saturday. The Hot Springs team ultimately took eighth out of 18 teams with a score of 79.5 point.
Philip won the meet with 192. 5 points. They were followed closely by Rapid City Central with 187 and Custer with 169.
Keaton Bissonette took fifth at 120 pinning Dalton Butler of Hulett. Sterling Sword placed eighth at 126 falling to Drew Hanson of Hill City.
Teejay Atwood, Chad Kelso and Marcus Harkless each placed third at 170, 182 and 195 respectively. Each of their matches went to decision.
The Hot Springs wrestlers had a tough trip to Philip on Friday. Philip took the duel meet 54-21.
The Bison had two match victories via pin courtesy of Garrett Heil and Marcus Harkless. Pierce Sword won his match in a 8-3 decision. The Bison's additional 6 points were gained by a forfeit.
Hot Springs will Host the Black Hills Conference meet this Saturday at the high school. It will start at 10:00 a.m.
