Evans Plunge Roof Repair Base Project Alternate #1 and Alternate #2

The Owner, herein called the Owner, will receive sealed bids for the Project, until 2:00 P.M., Local Time on the 19th day of December, 2013, at Hot Springs City Hall, 303 North River, Hot Springs, SD, at which time and place all bids will be privately opened.

A Single Contract will be awarded for General Construction Work, excludes Sitework.

This Project will be publicly bid.

All bids shall be made in accordance with forms referenced and/or made a part of the proposed contract documents. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to Mr. Harley Lux, City of Hot Springs. Bid envelopes shall be clearly marked on the outside lower left corner Evans Plunge Roof Improvements. Full responsibility for the delivery of mailed bids prior to the deadline for receiving bids rests with the bidder.

Contract documents, including Bid Proposal, Drawings and Project Manual, have been placed on file and may be obtained in electronic form from Albertson Engineering, Inc. at admin@albertsonengineering.com.

Each bidder must deposit bid security with the bid, payable to City of Hot Springs, one of the following:

1. Certified check, cashier's check or draft drawn on a State or National Bank in the amount of five percent (5%) ofthe bidders base bid plus add alternates.

2. Bid Bond, prepared on AlA Form A310, issued by a Surety authorized to do business in the State where the project is located and acceptable to the Owner in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bidders base bid plus add alternates.

The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a contract performance bond and a labor and materials payment bond in the penal amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as originally bid or subsequently modified.

No bidder may withdraw a bid until 30 days after the bid opening, without a written request explaining the cause for the withdrawal and without a written consent of the Owner after reviewing the cause.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, and to waive any irregularities of any bid. The Owner also reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder as may be determined by the Owner.

Published twice at the total approximate cost of $53.58.
