Notice is hereby given that the City of Hot Springs, South Dakota will receive written proposals at City Hall, 303 North River Street, Hot Springs, South Dakota 57747 until Oct. 31, 2017 at 5PM for the City of Hot Springs Meter Reading Contract. The City is seeking the services of someone qualified to accomplish the following tasks on a monthly basis:

1.Commence meter readings on or about the first (1) day of each month

2.Compose list of meters or meter pits requiring service or repair

3.Compose list of any citizen complaints brought to their attention

4.Complete the meter readings and submit the results to City Hall using the provided hand held reading device

5.Read approximately 1500 city meters by the fifteenth (15) day of each month

The City shall provide a vehicle and the necessary tools to read the meters. Proposals should include an introduction section identifying the proposer; name, address, and telephone number, a qualifications section and a cost proposal section listing proposed price per month. Additional information regarding the duties may be obtained from the Public Works office located in City Hall at 303 North River Street, Hot Springs, South Dakota 57747.

Sealed Proposals must be plainly marked to identify their contents. No Proposal shall be withdrawn after the filing time without the written consent of the Hot Springs Common Council, for a period of thirty (30) days after the filing time. The Common Council of the City of Hot Springs, South Dakota reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or to waive any informalities or technicalities in the proposal, and to accept the proposal that is to the advantage of, and in the best interest of the City of Hot Springs.

The City anticipates selecting the successful proposer on or before November 6, 2017
