Sarah Frances Heisler died peacefully in Phoenix, Ariz., on Sept. 6, 2017, at the age of 92. After living a full life!

“Frances” is survived by her siblings Mary Merrill, Phyllis Stoetzel, Dale Drown, and Benjamin Drown and her beloved children, Noreen Drown, Emory Heisler, Timothy Heisler, John Heisler, and Faye Benner. Sarah was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Wilbur Francis Drown, Mother Katherine Reynolds Drown, Brother Leeland Drown and granddaughter Sarah Leah Boyle.

Sarah Frances Drown was born on Aug. 14, 1925, in McPherson, Kan. She spent her early life in Redfield, S.D., and Grand Island, Neb. She graduated from Wessington Springs College in Jerauld County, South Dakota, with an Associate’s degree in Theology and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army Liaison office in Washington DC. She was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed all types of music. She instilled the love of nature, life and music on her children.

A memorial mass is scheduled in Hot Springs at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. A Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 14, 2017 ,followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Her remains will be interred after that at the Highlands Cemetery located west of Hot Springs on Cascade Rd by the Wild Horse Sanctuary. A reception and celebration of life will be held at the church hall after that. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sarah’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sarah’s honor may be made to “Alzheimer’s Association” (http://www.alz.org). Condolences and remembrances of Sarah may be sent to St Anthony Parish, Hot Springs, SD.
