The Hot Springs boys basketball team defeated the Saint Thomas More Cavilers of Rapid City last Tuesday night in dramatic fashion.
After grabbing the lead at the half, the Bison maintained their advantage on More the rest of the game. With a minute to go in the fourth quarter, the Cavilers came within four points.
Thanks to smart ball control by the Bison, Hot Springs ultimately defeated More, 47-42.
The boys didn't fair as well against Sturgis Brown. They fell to the Scoopers 61-49 on Thursday night. That game had originally been scheduled for Friday Feb. 9 as a double-header but was rescheduled due to weather conditions.
The Lady Bison finished their regular season with a tough week. They fell to Edgemont last Tuesday, 39-26, bested by Saint Thomas More Friday at home, 49-8, and lost their rescheduled game with Sturgis Brown on Saturday, 69-29.
