A Hunter Safety course will be held on May 10 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and May 12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The class will be held at the High Plains Game Ranch Lodge. The lodge is located one mile south of Nisland on Whitewood Valley Road and then two miles west on Vallery Road. Signs will be posted.

There will be a Range Session on Saturday

Students must attend both days to receive their card

There is no charge for the classes. All materials and firearms will be provided.

State Law requires that juveniles 12 through 15 years of age successfully complete a Hunter Safety Course before he/she can obtain a South Dakota hunting license. Students 11 years old may attend if their 12th birthday occurs on or prior to Dec. 31, 2012.
