A Rapid City man was arrested Thursday night following a stabbing outside Deano’s Casino on East North Street, police said.

Nakota Moore, 24, was charged with aggravated assault and impersonation to deceive a law enforcement officer. Around 9:15 p.m., Rapid City police responded to a stabbing report and found the male victim walking along East Watertown Street, the department said in a release. The 46-year-old Rapid City man suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and was treated at Rapid City Regional Hospital, according to the release.

Police said the man didn’t cooperate with investigators, but statements from witnesses led them to Moore at Deano’s Casino. Investigators determined that the stabbing occurred after an argument between the two men. Moore, who police say initially lied about his identity, is detained at the Pennington County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
