James Robert 'Robby' Almy Jr.

RAPID CITY - James Robert "Robby" Almy Jr., 50, Rapid City, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Survivors include one sister, Roxsanne Almy, Keystone.

Arrangements are pending with Kirk Funeral Home of Rapid City.

Clara Axtell

WINNER - Clara Axtell, 91, Winner and formerly of Colome, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at Winner Regional Healthcare Center.

Survivors include two sons, Lowell Axtell, LaPorte, Texas, and Charles Axtell, Wewela; two daughters, Myrna Gergen, Dallas, S.D., and Aleta Amon, Fairborn, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, with an 8 p.m. prayer service, at Mason Funeral Home in Winner.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at United Methodist Church in Winner. Burial will be at Colome Cemetery.

Roger Vick

HILL CITY - Roger Vick, 75, Hill City, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene Vick, Hill City; three daughters, Deanna Mau, Woodinville, Wash., and Jacque Callis and Karen Mc- Kee, both of Hill City; and one son, Warren Vick, Sioux Falls.

Arrangements are pending with Osheim-Catron Funeral Home of Rapid City.

Loren Ray Campbell

HOT SPRINGS - Loren Ray Campbell, 18, Hot Springs, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at his home.

Survivors include his father, Todd Holloway, Hot Springs; his mother, Regina Campbell, Hot Springs; one sister, Kara Campbell, Hot Springs; four brothers, Kyle Holloway, Cole Richards, Scott Richards and J.R. Richards, all of Hot Springs; his stepfather, Anthony Richards, Redfield; one grandmother, Lorraine Campbell, Hot Springs; and one grandfather, Gordon Nannette Holloway, Payson, Utah.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at McColley's Chapels of the Hills in Hot Springs.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Morris Nelson officiating.

Henry R. Grooms

PORCUPINE - Henry R. Grooms, 75, Porcupine, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at Gordon, Neb., Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Grooms, Gordon; one son, William Grooms, Ogallala, Neb.; two daughters, Theresa Hinn, Lakeside, Neb., and Cathy Grooms, Boulder, Colo.; two brothers, Victor Grooms, Canon City, Colo., and Pat Grooms, Denby; two sisters, Gertrude Grooms, Caputa, and Martha Woodhouse, Gordon; and seven grandchildren.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services were held. His ashes will be scattered over the ranch at a later date.

Cicmanec-Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home of Gordon was in charge of arrangements.

Wyoma Lea Cranston

MOORCROFT, Wyo. - Wyoma Lea Cranston, 78, Greenhill Hereford Ranch, Moorcroft, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at Crook County Memorial Hospital in Sundance.

Survivors include eight children, Robert Cranston, Marmora, N.J., Roy Cranston, Prairie City, S.D., Gary Cranston, Raynham, Mass., Mike Cranston, Carlile, Kay Havner, Cheyenne, Mark Cranston, Kennewick, Wash., Kent Cranston, Gillette, and Ivan Cranston, Moorcroft, Wyo.; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at First Presbyterian Church of Moorcroft, with the Rev. Donavon Voigt officiating. In keeping with her wishes, Wyoma's body was cremated. Burial will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Moorcroft or Pine Ridge Community Church of Carlile.

Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel of Sundance is in charge of arrangements.

Clarence Neville

PHILIP - Clarence Neville, 86, Philip and formerly of Milesville, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Survivors include one son, Merlen Neville, Granite Falls, Wash.

Arrangements are pending with Rush Funeral Home of Philip.

Blanche Leader Charge

WHITE RIVER - Blanche Leader Charge, 70, White River, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, in Rosebud.

Survivors include her husband, Garfield Leader Charge, Rosebud; seven children, Myrna Leader Charge Trimble and Keith Leader Charge, both of Mission, Pearl Leader Charge, Rosebud, Joyce Leader Charge, Lester Leader Charge and Calvin Leader Charge, all of White River, and Donna Leader Charge, Rapid City; three sisters, Virginia Barrera, Bertha Black Elk and Cordelia Hopkins, all of White River; and 22 grandchildren.

Services were Friday, Dec. 19, at Horse Creek Community Building. Burial was at St. James Episcopal Cemetery south of White River.

Holmes Funeral Home of Valentine, Neb., was in charge of arrangements.

George D. Blue

LOVELAND, Colo. - George D. Blue, 76, Loveland and formerly of Huron, S.D., died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, at his home.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Belva Blue, Loveland; two sons, Tom Blue, Rapid City, and Jim Blue, Denver; one brother, Vernon Blue, Mount Vernon, Wash.; three sisters, Helen Braswell, Oceanside, Calif., Irene Nuccio, Howell, N.J., and Esther Van Camp, Fernley, Nev.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Chapel in Loveland, and from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church in Loveland, with rosary services at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until service time Saturday, Jan. 17, at the church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Jason Thuerauf officiating. Burial will be at Loveland Burial Park.

Memorial services will be at a later date in Huron.

Memorials may be made to Knights of Columbus in Huron or Hospice of Larimer County, in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.

Sylvester Livermont

MARTIN - Sylvester Livermont, 90, Martin, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at Bennett County Nursing Home in Martin.

Survivors include four children, Joyce Wilson and Dave Livermont, both of Martin, Jerry Livermont, Long Valley, and Patti Chase, Custer, and two sisters, Viola Adams and Evelyn Stone, both of Rapid City.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Ziegler Funeral Home in Martin.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Martin. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in care of the family to the Heritage Center in Martin.

Charlotte Hildegard Maxon

STURGIS - Charlotte Hildegard Maxon, 77, Sturgis and formerly of McLaughlin, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, at Sturgis Community Health Care Center.

Survivors include four sons, Ed Maxon, Lincoln, N.D., Micheal Maxon, Sturgis, and Ray Maxon and Wayne Maxon, both of McLaughlin; one daughter, Tammy Weatherspoon, McLaughlin; one brother, Helmut Platzer, Hohenhaslach, Germany; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and her special friend, Deloris Morgen, Mahto.

Her husband, Milo Maxon, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to noon Friday, Jan. 16, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in McLaughlin.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at the church, with the Rev. Kerry Prendiville officiating. Burial will follow at McLaughlin Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.

Dora Brave

OGLALA - Dora Brave, 58, Oglala, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Arrangements are pending with Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge.

Betty McGee

RAPID CITY - Betty McGee, 71, Rapid City, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at her home.

Survivors include her husband, Frank McGee, Rapid City; three daughters, Christine Harming, Rapid City, Francine McGee, Chicago, and Elisa McGee, Seattle; two sons, Sean McGee, Denver, and Kevin McGee, Rapid City; and four grandchildren.

Arrangements are pending with Osheim-Catron Funeral Home of Rapid City.

Alden Norman Nelson

NEMO - Alden Norman Nelson, 87, Nemo, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Lenora Nelson, Nemo; one brother, Archie Nelson, Piedmont; and two sisters, Isabel Moden, Las Vegas, and Morna Moden, New Underwood.

Arrangements are pending with Kirk Funeral Home of Rapid City.

Jacob 'Jake' Little Thunder

WANBLEE - Jacob "Jake" Little Thunder, 91, Wanblee, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Survivors include two sons, Blaine Little Thunder, Wanblee, and Dewey Little Thunder, Martin; one stepson, Maynard Hawk Wing, Mission; and one brother, Stephen Little Thunder, Wanblee.

A two-night wake will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Crazy Horse School in Wanblee.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at the school, with the Rev. Daniel Makes Good officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Episcopal Cemetery in Wanblee.

Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge is in charge of arrangements.

Pedro L. Red Cloud

PINE RIDGE - Pedro L. Red Cloud, 62, Pine Ridge, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, in Pine Ridge.

Survivors include two sons, Manuel Red Cloud, Pine Ridge, and Pedro Red Cloud Jr., Vale, and two daughters, Lynette Rios, Gehring, Neb., and Angelina Red Cloud, Pine Ridge.

A two-night wake will begin at 2 p.m. today at Wakpamni CAP Office in Pine Ridge.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at Wakpamni CAP Office, with Mr. Charles McGaa officiating. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Mission Catholic Cemetery in Pine Ridge.

Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge is in charge of arrangements.

Robert P. Wille

RAPID CITY - Robert P. Wille, 51, Rapid City, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at his home.

Survivors include his mother, Rita Wille, Alexandria, Minn.; three daughters, Stacy Hill, Princeton, Minn., Bobbie Sue Wille, Cedar, Minn., and Rikki Wille, Townsend, Mont.; two brothers, Richard Wille, Garfield, Minn., and Raymond Wille, Alexandria; three sisters, Diane Wille, Alexandria, Mary Koep, North Branch, Minn., and Patti Peterson, Bloomington, Minn.; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be next week in Alexandria with Petemeier's Alexandria Funeral Care. A local memorial gathering will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City, with Bob's family from Minnesota present.

Kirk Funeral Home of Rapid City is in charge of local arrangements.

Francis Shangreaux

PINE RIDGE - Francis Shangreaux, 84, Pine Ridge, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, in Pine Ridge.

Arrangements are pending with Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge.
