It may be the penultimate day of the 2016 Black Hills Stock Show & Rodeo, but today won't play second-fiddle to any other day of the 10-day annual show.
Today will be jam-packed with events and shows to attract and entertain audiences.
Things get started with the 7 a.m. Old Timers Breakfast & Awards at the Central States Fairgrounds, where the jackpot roping event will take place at 9 a.m.
Sutton Rodeo hosts a 1:30 p.m. PRCA rodeo performance in the Barnett Arena at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center, and the final PRDC rodeo at 7:30 p.m. with the finals in many events including the bull fights.
The Western Art Quick-Draw contest is set for 3:30 p.m. at the civic center theater, with judging of the art at 4:30 p.m. and an auction of the works at 6 p.m.
At 4 p.m. at the fairgrounds, beer tasting begins, with the official Boots & Beer festival taking place at 7 p.m., with live music including dueling pianos, and later, Brandon Jones & the Thirsty Fish at 9:30 p.m., and Chancey Williams & the Younger Brothers Band at 11 p.m.
The final day of the annual stock show comes Sunday, with the buffalo classic sale at 10 a.m. at the fairgrounds, and the Cowboy Church with singer Susie McEntire at the civic center at 10 a.m.
