John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne, the English-born rocker who is accustomed to loud music and boisterous crowds, apparently visited a quiet, lonely place this week: the Pinnacles of the Badlands National Park.
Osborne also was at Mount Rushmore National Monument, and he posted a smiling, thumbs-up photo of himself at the monument on his Facebook page on Thursday.
Osbourne, whose next scheduled performance is on Oct. 31 at the Voodoo Music and Arts Experience in New Orleans, slipped into Rapid City early in the week and was reportedly at the Vertex Sky Bar atop the Hotel Alex Johnson one night.
Christine Czazasty, chief of interpretation and resource education in the Badlands National Park, said in an email, "It is my understanding he filmed the sunset from the Pinnacles area of the park."
Unconfirmed reports had Osbourne and a film crew also visiting the Minuteman Missile National History Site and the city of Wall, home to Wall Drug.
Keep your eyes peeled to see if you can catch Osborne riding the crazy train in Rapid City this week.
