Sturgis tattoo -- TJ Mittleider

TJ Mittleider, Bismarck, N.D.

It’s a good thing TJ Mittleider has some size to him because the shoulder to elbow tattoo on his right arm can stir some pretty intense emotions among midwestern NFL fans.

Mittleider, 27, is a self proclaimed huge Minnesota Vikings fan. The North Dakota man lives and breathes Viking football.

His tattoo — eight hours and three sessions in the making — sports a Viking surrounded by the severed heads of Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Detroit Lions’ Matt Stafford, and Chicago Bears Jay Cutler.

The tat is still not done. Next he will add the letters V. W. O. — Viking World Order.

It’s not the tattoo, but his choice of headwear that usually gets football rivals to talk smack. “People see my hat and say something like, “Somebody needs a new hat.”

“Then I say, 'If you like my hat, you’ll love this,' and roll up my sleeve,” he said with a grin.

Yup … it’s a good thing TJ is a big boy.
