Jarrod Klein's tattoos were easy to see Tuesday afternoon outside the Deadwood Visitor Center. He had his shirt off.
A wide skull tattoo blanketed his back with a four-letter expletive decorating his shoulders. The meaning behind that one is pretty self-explanatory, Klein said.
The one on his right shoulder has the most familial meaning for Klein. A helicopter with several soldiers represents Klein's father, who served in the Vietnam War.
The 77th Sturgis motorcycle rally was the first for Klein and his wife, Schelley. They're from Liberty, Miss., and came out to the rally to visit friends.
The 43-year-old couple has been married for three years, but they've known each other since fourth grade, Klein said.
"It took me a long time to get her to say 'yes,'" he said.
