Four youths were taken to the hospital Sunday after being hit by a car while riding their bicycles at the intersection of North Lacrosse Street and Seger Drive.

The juveniles, ages 14, 10, 15 and 11, had injuries ranging from a broken pelvis, a broken wrist and numerous lacerations. None of the injuries appeared life threatening, according to a news release from the Rapid City Police Department.

The names of the juveniles were not released.

The driver of the car, Tammy Ann Bradford, 39, was arrested on a charge of third offense driving under the influence and vehicular battery. Bradford could face other charges once the accident investigation is completed.

She suffered minor injuries in the accident.

Bradford was westbound on Seger Drive at about noon when she lost control of her Honda Accord. The car left the street, striking the juveniles, police said.

The police department's Critical Accident Reconstruction Team is handling the ongoing investigation.

Officers from the police department, Pennington County Sheriff's Office and South Dakota Highway Patrol responded to the accident.

Rapid City Fire Department emergency services transported the Bradford and the youths to Rapid City Regional Hospital.
