WHITECLAY, Neb. - Federal authorities are searching Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota for a person of interest in connection with a shooting outside a bar in Whiteclay.

Sheridan County Deputy Sheriff Richard Anderson said a man in his 30s was shot in the back of his left knee early Monday. He was taken to a hospital in Rapid City, S.D., with non-life-threatening injuries.

Anderson did not release the identity of the victim, who is a resident of the reservation.

Whiteclay borders the reservation.
