PIERRE - A search is underway for a state prison inmate who failed to return from a job search in Rapid City on Wednesday.
Eugene Clifford, 23, was last seen Wednesday morning after he left the Rapid City Minimum Unit to look for employment.
Clifford is serving a three-year sentence for grand theft and a concurrent five-year sentence for receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle from Pennington County.
Clifford has black hair and brown eyes. He stands about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. Pictures of Clifford are available on the DOC Web site at http://www.state.sd.us/corrections/escapees.htm.
