RAPID CITY - The Rapid City Education Association and the Rapid City School District have reached a tentative agreement on a contract for the 2007-08 school term.

The education union will hold a membership ratification meeting at 5:30 p.m., Monday, June 11, on the third floor of the City/School Administration Center, 300 Sixth St.

Members may vote on the negotiated agreement by attending the meeting or by stopping in at the union office, at 1301 West Omaha St., between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 13.

Membership approval of the agreement is the final step in contract negotiations.

The union has until Friday, June 15, to report the results of the ratification process to the school district, according to union co-presidents Nancy Kroeger and Sue Podoll.
