Canyon Lake downed pool favorite Iowa, 9-8, at the Midwest Regional Tournament in Indianapolis, Ind., on Saturday.
Canyon Lake scored a run in the sixth inning to break an 8-8 tie when Bill Hendricks singled home Cale Fierro for the win.
Canyon Lake improved to 2-0 - the only 2-0 team at the tournament - and will face Minnesota on Monday.
