RAPID CITY - The Rapid City woman charged with drunken driving who is accused of hitting four children had two prior convictions for driving under the influence.

Tammy Ann Bradford, 39, remains in custody at Pennington County Jail. In addition to being charged with third-offense DUI - a felony carrying a maximum sentence of two years in prison - Bradford was charged with driving with a revoked license and four counts of vehicular battery.

Each count of vehicular battery carries a maximum possible sentence of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine upon conviction.

Driving with a revoked license carries a maximum of one year in jail and a $2,000 fine.

Bradford was arrested shortly after noon Sunday after her vehicle struck four juveniles on bicycles. The juveniles, ages 10, 11, 14 and 15, were taken to Rapid City Regional Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

A judge set bond for Bradford on Monday at $500,000 cash or surety.
