RAPID CITY - A brief but heavy rain shower put a temporary halt to the first night of an Independence Day auto racing double-header at Black Hills Speedway Friday night.
Race officials were hoping to resume racing later Friday night after repacking the track. Saturday night's race card also includes a fireworks display.
