Documents filed in the investigation of a Clear Lake woman accused of killing her newborn last week reveal that an infant and placenta were among things found when a search warrant was executed.
Investigators say more than 50 things were taken from Brittnie Sturzenbecher's parents' home, including bloody clothing, a blanket and towel, computers, notebooks, and a marijuana pipe.
Deuel County State's Attorney Greg Stoltenburg confirmed that a child's body was found but declined to comment further on the case.
Authorities say Sturzenbecher had recently given birth.
The 22-year-old woman is charged with second-degree murder.
