Gov. Mike Rounds issued pardons Friday recommended by the South Dakota Board of Pardons and Parole.
Local recipients include:
* Jay Bradley Ownbey of Meade County was pardoned for a 1994 conviction of unauthorized possession of a controlled substance, for which he received a one-year suspended prison sentence.
* Jeffrey A. Oliver of Pennington County was pardoned for a 1978 third-degree burglary, for which he received a three-year prison sentence.
