A 49-year-old Beresford man has died in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 29 near the Canton interchange.
The crash occurred about 11:15 p.m. Thursday when Geoffrey Merriman's northbound SUV veered onto the median and rolled across the southbound lanes of the road.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says speed was a factor in the crash.
The patrol says Merriman was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.
