The Pennington County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in determining how a 21-year-old man was hurt last week in the Country Road area.

Sheriff's deputies were called to the 1900 block of Country Road in the early morning hours of June 24 after a badly injured man was found outside a residence, according to Capt. Corey Brubakken.

The victim had head trauma and was unable to talk to investigators, Brubakken said. He was listed in good condition Monday at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

"We're still trying to piece together what happened," Brubakken said. "He sustained some pretty significant injuries."

Anyone with information can call the Pennington County Sheriff's Office at 394-6115.

This sounds similar to what happened to a man a couple of years ago out on highway 79. Significant assault with head trauma.
