NISLAND - Daniel B. Hall, 82, Nisland, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at home.
Survivors include his wife, Kay, Nisland; two sons, Daniel Hall, Paulden, Ariz., and Lonnie Hall, Hill City; two daughters, Bonnie Hall, Sturgis, and Konnie Hall-Grass, Spearfish; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, Wendall Hall, Rapid City, and Bernard Hall, Summerset; and two sisters, Virginia Fuller, Commerce, Texas, and Bargy Hall, Nisland.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at First Lutheran Church in Newell.
Inurnment will be at 9 a.m. Monday, April 11, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, with military honors provided by the Sturgis Honor Guard.

WALL - Melvin Harnisch, 90, Wall, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip.
Survivors include five sisters, Wilma Harnisch, Mildred Harnisch and Helen Slovek, all of Wall, Margaret Buckles, Eugene, Ore., and Esther Hoefs, Rapid City.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at Rush Funeral Chapel and one hour before services.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 11, at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Curtis Garland officiating. Burial will be at Wall Cemetery.

Darci Ann Jurisch
GRESHAM, Ore. - It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Darci Ann. One of the sweetest and gentlest persons ever born and a kind young soul who certainly had a terrific impact on the lives of any that knew her in any way close. The second of twins, she was born Jan. 30, 1974, and passed away in the arms of her twin sister, Dawn, on April 2, 2011, at her home in Gresham.
Darci is survived by her loving twin sister, Dawn Marie Miller; her mother, Vivian M. (Dennis) Gray; her father, Martin W. (Pat) Jurisch; her half-sister, Trina M. (Stephen) Scott; and numerous stepbrothers, stepsisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.
She was preceded in death by her half-brother, Gregory Ryan Jurisch in 2000.
Private family services will be at a later date.
SPEARFISH - Harry Irwin, 89, Spearfish, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Sturgis Regional Hospital.

WICHITA, Kan. - Harold Lucas "Luke" Young, 30, Technical Sgt., United States Air Force, McConnell Air Force Base, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie; two sons, Tate and Tabor Young; his parents, Steve and Tina Young of Waller, Texas; a sister, Rachel Young Thackeray (Tony) and a brother, Jake Young (Ashley), all of Hockley, Texas; grandparents, Jim and Donna Bowers of Oakhurst, Texas, and Harold and Della Young of Mount Carmel, Tenn.; parents-in-law, Sheldon and Barb Stedillie of Rapid City, S.D.; nephews, T.J. and Kolby Thackeray; as well as many aunts, and uncles.
Visitation with the family will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.

SPEARFISH - Sylvia Mae Wittmeier, 97, Spearfish, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011.
Survivors include a daughter, Jill Anderson, Spearfish; a son, D. Rick Wittmeier, Hot Springs; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren: and three stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat.

Burial will be at 9 a.m. CDT Monday, April 11, at Tyndall Cemetery.

Benjamin H. Geary
RAPID CITY - Benjamin H. Geary, 83, Rapid City, died Tuesday, April 6, 2011, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
He was born Sept. 15, 1927, at Rapid City, the son of Benjamin F. and Gladys (Harris) Geary. He resided in Rapid City and Deadwood prior to moving with his family to the Black Hills Ordnance Depot at Igloo. He graduated from Provo High School in 1945. Following high school graduation he served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 until 1946. He attended and graduated from the Denver Art Institute and from the University of South Dakota at Vermillion.
Benjamin spent most of his life as a sign painter. He traveled extensively throughout the United States working as a "High Rise" sign painter. He was employed for a time with Rosenbaum Sign Co. in Rapid City.
Survivors include a brother, David L. Geary, and his wife, Leonne, Rapid City; a nephew, Doug Geary, Rapid City; two nieces, Deb Larson, Rapid City, and Deanna Hooper, Sundance, Wyo.; and several grand-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Philip; and a niece, Darla.
Private family services will be held at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.

CORN CREEK - Miranda Quick Bear, 18, Corn Creek, died Sunday, April 3, 2011.
Survivors include her mother, Linda Quick Bear; her father, Francis Cutt; three brothers, Nathan (her twin), Willard and Myron; and three sisters, Amanda, Jessie and Amber.
A wake will be held today at the family residence, house 149, Corn Creek, and Friday, April 8, at St. Thomas Church.
