Hard to recognize a Republican these days

Republican and Conservative used to be synonymous, especially in South Dakota!

What happened to the good old days; you ran as a Republican and the people of South Dakota knew what you stood for. You were pro-small government, pro- life, pro-constitution, and in South Dakota, pro-Second Amendment. Today, Sen. Dave Knudson of Sioux Falls is running for the Republican ticket in hopes of becoming the next Governor of our state but apparently has a problem with gun owners. He sponsored and voted for the anti-gun Central Registry bill, voted to blacklist gun owners, voted twice against the Citizen Self-Defense Bill, and voted to ban self- defense in city parks. No wonder he earned a "D" rating from the NRA. Republican? Maybe not!
