No one can seriously argue that corporations are in need of more influence over our elected officials. With their vast resources, elite connections and global reach their presence in the halls of government has been ever growing. Legions of corporate lobbyists apply pressure to meet their needs, often at the expense of the public, at a level no citizen or citizen group could ever hope to match. Yet five members of the Supreme Court have taken it upon themselves to exponentially increase the power and rights of corporations. Their lawless, outrageous decision to grant full-person rights to corporations (foreign or domestic) must be reversed before it corrupts our election process. Citizens should quickly get informed and then write their representatives and the president advocating a constitutional amendment to end corporate personhood. A corporation is not a person; it has no soul. You will not find it in the Bible; you will not find it in our constitution. You will find it in the words of Mussolini: "Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power." Citizens must act to veto such a merger.
