As a retired aerospace engineer I enjoyed the insight provided by the Journal's article about the interesting and important new technology projects underway in this part of South Dakota. The involved local companies and the staff, students and engineering graduates of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology are to be commended for contributing to this nation's exciting high-tech research.
Our country needs more engineers. The challenging course of studies in engineering schools is well worthwhile when one considers the compensation and interesting career options. Society has benefited greatly and will continue to benefit greatly from the end result of "engineering."
A special note to the young ladies; you too can be engineers. The advancement of science and technology needs bright minds, both male and female.
