Rapid City police have asked for the public's help in identifying a suspect in a convenience store robbery on Saturday.

A masked man with a knife entered the Big D convenience store at 3010 W. Main just before 9 p.m. on Saturday. He waved the knife at the clerk and left the store with money from the register and the clerk's purse.

The suspect is described as a large male, about 6 feet tall, weighing 200-250 pounds. He may have left in a white four-door sedan, possibly a Buick LeSabre.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Detective Rick Arlaud at 394-4134, or send an anonymous tip by texting "RCPD" and the info to 847411. Anonymous crime tips can be sent by using the "Submit a Tip" tab the Rapid City Police Department's Facebook page or using the secure online form at www.rcgov.org/Police/crimeprevention.html.

A video of the robbery can be viewed at http://youtu.be/WzqsXNwnNcO.
