Sheep producers suffering the impact of a 50 percent crash in their markets have a new ally in R-CALF USA.

In response to requests from sheep producers, Ranchers-Cattlemen Action Legal Fund, United Stockgrowers of America, is forming a sheep committee that will be lead by Bill Kluck of Mud Butte. Kluck runs both sheep and cattle on his ranch.

The sheep committee's goal is to identify and implement solutions to reverse the exodus of U.S. sheep producers, halt off-shoring of the industry to other countries and put an end to price manipulation in the U.S. lamb market, according to R-CALF USA president George Chambers.
