PIERRE - Gov. Mike Rounds, federal officials and leaders of Indian tribes will meet next Tuesday in Fort Pierre to discuss issues involving the operation of Missouri River dams.
The officials will talk about how the lingering drought has effected water levels, local water supplies, recreation, and hydroelectric power production, according to a news release.
The meeting will include Assistant U.S. Army Secretary John Paul Woodley, representatives of states along Missouri River, tribal leaders and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Brigadier General Gregg F. Martin.
