A Rapid City woman was arrested early Sunday in her garage after a slow-speed chase to her home, Rapid City police said Monday.
Jennifer Kraft, 38, was arrested for driving under the influence, eluding police, resisting arrest, improper lane change and speeding in a construction zone.
An officer said he saw Kraft's vehicle swerve and hit a curb at the corner of West Main and Cross streets around 2 a.m. Sunday. The officer attempted to stop her but wound up pursuing her vehicle on Jackson Boulevard where she hit traffic cones and a street sign, police said.
Kraft turned onto Canyon Lake Drive and then onto Red Dale Drive where she reportedly traveled the wrong way on the one-way street. She then pulled into her garage and attempted to close the door before the officer could talk to her, police said.
The officer pushed the door back up and arrested Kraft in her garage.
