Weather, climate are not the same

It is obvious that Donald Trump has not spent much time in being devoted to the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality and existence. He just said we could use “A little bit of good old global warming” because of a recent cold snap. He doesn't even know the difference between weather and climate.

The difference between weather and climate is the measure of time. Weather is what the conditions of the atmosphere are over a short period of time, and climate is how the atmosphere “behaves” over very long periods of time. The 10 warmest years on record have all occurred in the past two decades, and no, it's not a cycle. A cycle in the climate takes tens of thousands of years. The earth has never before experienced such rapid warming.

The odds that all of these record high warm years have happened by happenstance are astronomical. As far as weather goes, we are now having twice the number of record high temperatures as record lows. They should be nearly equal. The confidence of climate scientists that global warming is real, is causing climate change, and is caused by humans has reached 99 percent.
