Trump has not delivered for SD
Our rural state overwhelmingly supported the President’s election. Here’s what we got:
1) Exit from Trans-Pacific Partnership affects agriculture exports, jobs, revenue. 2) Delay in infrastructure improvements and reliance on public-private partnerships choke rural projects. 3) Federal programs for rural water and sewage projects on tap to be flushed out of 2018 budget. 4) Immigration bans halted visitor industry and farm workers headed here, where we rely upon seasonal labor from abroad. 5) A visa waiver program for doctors in rural areas jeopardized by immigration policy, affecting 75 doctors here. 6) Unhealthful policies burden older, low-income people, killed Child Health Insurance Program, and infected insurance markets with uncertainty. 7) We turned our incessant wind into jobs, manufacturing, and a cleaner environment. The administration’s changes and budget cuts on alternative energy turn that to dust in the wind. 8) The federal program supporting air services in rural regions will crash and burn if the proposed 2018 budget is adopted. 9) Tribal governments can expect more broken promises as the Promise Zone that brought federal money and action to Pine Ridge gets “reduced.” 10) Budget cuts, rule changes put a big bull's-eye on public lands like Mount Rushmore and Badlands — drivers of our visitor industry.
Road signs aren't for target shooting
I have seen many road signs shot with high-powered rifles. What is really concerning is that some are on corners of main roads. How do they know what's around the corner?
Why are people so careless with other’s lives? How would they feel if they kill someone through their ignorant carelessness? If you are hunting and you see this get their license number and turn them in to the police. If convicted, maybe we can take these careless people's guns away before they hurt someone.
