Gun violence making people feel unsafe
I believe that gun violence has taken a horrible turn in the United States. The United States is considered to be at the top of the list for deaths caused by gun violence. People shouldn’t have to worry about not being safe, let alone be worried about being shot while going to what should be a fun concert, or even a walk downtown. The place that you live should be a place that you feel comfortable and feel like you can live a life outside of your house. The United States is supposed to be “Land of the Free” and the “Land of Opportunities”, but I don’t think people will want to come here if there is this much violence and uncertainty. There are some people who may even consider leaving if things don’t change. I think we can need to come together and make this change. I don’t think I am only talking for myself when I say, I fear what could happen when I go out. The change needs to come from us showing others that violence is not okay. Let’s all come together, and make everyone feel safe.
Government needs to act on health care
The Republicans in Congress have met the enemy and found that the enemy is themselves. Supporting wildly unpopular legislation by national standards and polls has become “business as usual” to congressional Republicans. The handling of national health care issues has become a joke and tragedy. Regular legislative process and bipartisan involvement has been thrown under the bus.
Consequently, U.S. citizens have suffered and have been disadvantaged. Now Trump has “sabotaged” financing for healthcare literally causing a crisis in the insurance industry. No wonder congress has such a low national rating. Politics over principal — How sad for all of us. Now watch what happens to your health care insurance premiums — they will crescendo!
