GOP health care plan lacks thought

Oh great. Sens. Thune and Rounds are planning to vote for the Republican health care "repeal and replace" legislation because it will turn a lot of decisions over to the states.

This is the same state government that refused to take advantage of the program that would increase Medicaid benefits for a lot of our citizens?  Somehow these senators' decisions don't reassure me at all. It looks like there will only be more people who don't qualify for insurance and the rest of us will be paying more for emergencies and other health care.

If the Congress wants to improve conditions for people who need health care, maybe they should spend a bit more time planning and finding out the ramifications of their ideas before they vote. Ya think?

President Trump advocates violence

Should we be surprised there was so much violence at the Charlottesville white supremacist rally? No. And Donald Trump has just doubled down on the violence there.

Donald Trump has advocated violence on many occasions. A protester was assaulted at a Trump rally, and he said, "Maybe he should have been roughed up." He said," If you see somebody ready to throw a tomato, knock the hell out of them. I'll pay the legal fees l promise you.” Here are some more quotes. "ln the old days at a place like this they’d be carried out on a stretcher folks. l'd like to punch him in the face, l tell you." "l could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose a vote." "ln the good old days, this didn't happen because they used to treat them very, very rough." "Part of the problem is that nobody wants to hurt anyone anymore."

Donald Trump’s views are an abomination to a civil society. This president is morally unfit to be our president.
