Max is a 3-year-old Alaskan husky mix currently waiting for his "furever" home at the Humane Society of the Black Hills. Max is a large, energetic dog that loves to play with toys and work for treats. He is very loving and affectionate, and easily accepts new people. Max does have a history as an escape artist and has been known to open gates, windows and sliding doors. As such, Max will need a responsible, non-apartment dwelling family with a big fenced yard that is ready to take on the challenges of this big fluff ball. Max has already been neutered, but easily gets ear infections and will need frequent veterinary visits. Max's adoption fee is $150, plus tax and Pennington County license fee. If you're interested in adopting Max, you can visit him at the Humane Society of the Black Hills, 1820 East St. Patrick St. or call 394-4170. To view more photos of Max, visit rapidcityjournal.com.
