The South Dakota School of Mines football program announced its 2018 signing class Wednesday afternoon during a press conference in the Christensen Hall of Fame Room at the King Center.

Mines head coach Zach Tinker announced the class of 24 student-athletes signed for the 2018 season. The class consists of 20 team captains with an average GPA of 3.62 and a winning percentage of .655.

"This was a big day for us as the 'Rockers continue to build," Tinker said. "We themed this year, 'Rocker Reload '18,' and that was for a very specific reason. We do have a good football team right now. We're not rebuilding a football team now, we're reloading in some areas where we needed some immediate help and we did that with this class of 24 signees."

The new Mines athletes come from Colorado (12), Texas (4), Arizona (4), South Dakota (1), Nebraska (1), California (1) and Washington (1).
