RAPID CITY - The Black Hills State women bounced back from an ugly loss in their last game to hold off Doane College 67-64 Friday at Goodell Gymnasium.

The Yellow Jackets (4-1) shot just 36 percent from the floor on the day, but managed to track down 17 offensive rebounds - five by Alana Dykhouse - to stay in the game. It was a needed victory after Black Hills scored just 44 points in a loss to Mount Marty on Monday.

Onida's Katelynn Lamb scored 19 points, including 9-for-10 from the free-throw line, to pace Black Hills. Jenna Bolstad and Brittany Fuhrman scored 12 and 10 points, respectively, for the Jackets.

Lindsay Anderson came off the bench for Doane (3-1) to score 25 points. She was the only Doane player in double figures. The Tigers will play South Dakota Mines today at 3 p.m.

Black Hills State will play Rocky Mountain College today at 1 p.m. in Spearfish.

SOUTH DAKOTA MINES 59, ROCKY MOUNTAIN 53: Bethany Holyoak picked up another double-double with 23 points and 13 rebounds to lead South Dakota Mines to a 59-53 win over Rocky Mountain College in the Howard Johnson South Dakota Mines Classic at Goodell Gymnasium on Friday.

The Hardrockers held a 28-23 lead at the half before holding on in the final 20 minutes. Mines' Ariel Granillo was the only other player in the game to register double figures in scoring. She had 14 points for the Hardrockers (3-2 overall).

Shaylynn Conroy and Josie Evans led Rocky Mountain (1-4) with nine points apiece. The Lady Bears hit the road to Spearfish to play the Yellow Jackets at the Young Center at 1 p.m. today.

Mines will host Doane College at 3 p.m. today.
