RAPID CITY - The Rapid City Rush added a third name to its inaugural roster on Wednesday, announcing the signing of Acadia University MVP goalie Lanny Ramage of Baldur, Manitoba.

"I am extremely excited to begin my professional career with the Rush," said Ramage in a team news release. "The organization will be top notch in the CHL and I am thrilled to call Rapid City home."

Ramage, 5-11 and 195 pounds, has played in 73 games throughout his career at Acadia and has earned a saves percentage greater than 89 percent. "Lanny played a large role in our team's success this past season and has been a great competitor and exciting goalie over his five year career at Acadia," said Axemen head coach Darren Burns. "He was a very well-respected member of our team and is an excellent competitor."

Ramage was most recently named MVP award winner at the Fred G. Kelly Awards Dinner by the Department of Varsity Athletics.

"We are very fortunate to get of goalie of Lanny's caliber. After being a starter for four years in the Western Hockey League with the Portland Winterhawks and having a great college career at Acadia in the CIS, Lanny brings a tremendous amount of experience as he enters his first season of professional hockey, said Rush head coach Joe Ferras. "Lanny has always been known as a goalie with incredible work ethic and this will bode well as he enters into his professional career with the Rapid City Rush.
