PHOENIX, Ariz. - Chris Collins, a graduate of Sturgis Brown High School, shot 137 to tie for first place in the open division at the Pepsi Tour Tournament on March 16 and 17 at Club West Golf Club.
Collins is currently employed at Ancala Country Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., and is playing golf professionally. He has been named the 2005 SDGA Player of the Year and the Match Play Champion in 2005 and 2006.
Collins, who was captain of the Washington State University golf team in 2006-2007, holds the WSU record for the all-time low scoring average.
