With the Brookings Invitational golf meet cancelled because of rain, Rapid City Stevens and Rapid City Central traveled to Mitchell for a triangular, with the Raiders taking home the team title on Saturday.

"We were all getting ready to head home and asked the Mitchell coach if we could play on their course and they said yes," said Rapid City Stevens head coach Phil Hunt.

The Raiders' Brogan Pappel took medalist honors with a low score of 34, followed by teammates Josh Pappel and Casey Ommen each with a score of 36. Mac Young shot a 37 to finish fourth for Rapid City Stevens.

"I was really pleased with how everyone contributed this weekend," said Hunt. "We're starting to develop other players with the state tournament just around the corner."

Central golfers Trevor Kautzman and Shawn McCarther, along with Mitchell's J.P. Schmitz, all had a 38.
