HURON - William White Buffalo of Jones County won a pair of events in state-qualifying times at the Sunshine Bible Academy Invitational track meet in Huron on Tuesday.
White Buffalo crossed the finish line in 4 minutes, 41.6 seconds to win the 1,600-meter run. He then turned in a time of 10:05 to clinch the 3,200 title as well.
Scott Nix, Andrew Bork and Andy Daum teamed up with White Buffalo to win the medley relay in 3:55.7.
Bork also took fourth in the shot put with a throw of 43 feet, 2-1/2 inches.
Top finishers for the Jones County girls included: Jordie Boyle, seventh in the mile run (6:19.64) and Whitney Reed, sixth in the shot put (29-11-1/2).
