Perryville, Mo., scored five runs in the first inning en route to an 11-1 five-inning win over Canyon Lake in the Central Region Little League Softball regional Saturday in Carthage, Mo.

"They (Missouri) are a pretty good all-around team," said Canyon Lake manager Geno Willuweit.

Canyon Lake collected three hits in the game as Jamie Schweiss, Miranda Morgan and Rachel Riddle each had a safety.

Riddle's hit knocked in Kelcey Hendrickson with Canyon Lake's lone run.

"We are in a really tough bracket down here," said Willuweit. "We have to eliminate our one bad inning … once we settle down we can play."

Canyon Lake, now 0-2, will play Riverfield from Anderson, Ind., today at 1 p.m. MDT.
