ORANGE CITY, Iowa - No. 5 Northwestern (Iowa) beat Black Hills State, 99-79, in a non-conference women's college basketball game Saturday.

Three-time first team All-American and 2006 NAIA Division II Player of the Year Deb Remmerde followed up a 50-point performance against South Dakota School of Mines of Friday with 27 points against the Lady Yellow Jackets. She went 10-for-17 from the floor.

Amy Larson added 26 points for the Red Raiders, who led 47-39 at halftime before outscoring BHSU 52-40 in the second half.

Lacey Haughian led Black Hills with 19 points and nine rebounds. Snjezana Dojcinovic added 16 points and eight rebounds, and Brittany Fuhrman hit five three-pointers to finish with 15 points.

Northwestern, a Great Plains Athletic Conference school, improved to 10-0 with the win.

BHSU (6-2) hosts Chadron State on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
