KADOKA - Rapid City Christian was the only team to have two double-event winners in the girls division of the Region 7B track and field meet in Kadoka on Thursday.
Kaitlyn Muehlbauer won the 200-meter dash in 27.8 seconds and the 400 in 1:03.5.
Comet teammate Christy Schultz recorded the fastest time in the 100 at 13.5; Muehlbauer took second with a time of 14.2. Then Schultz leapt 16 feet, 10 inches to win the long jump.
Kadoka Area was the girls Region 7B champion with 150 points. Philip finished second and New Underwood took third with 112 and 85, respectively.
On the boys side, Brandon Zelfer of Wall claimed both hurdle titles. Zelfer clocked 16.3 in the 110 hurdles and 44.9 in the 300 hurdles.
Jones County's William White Buffalo and Wall's Billy Shull finished 1-2, respectively in both the 1,600 and the 3,200. White Buffalo ran a time of 4:40.9 in the mile run and clocked 10:25.2 in the 3,200.
Kadoka Area won the 4-by-200, 4-by-400 and 4-by-800 relays.
Wall prevented a home-town sweep of the region titles, holding off Kadoka, 139 to 123. Philip rounded out the top three with 99 points.
