HAVRE, Mont. - Tony Trudnowski scored 17 points and Josh Monagle added 14 to lead Montana Tech to a 71-62 win over seventh-ranked Black Hills State on Friday in the MSU-Northern AmericInn Classic in Havre, Mont.

Dirk Anderson added 12 points and grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds for the Orediggers.

Montana Tech hit only 36 percent of its field goals but managed the win by shooting more times than Black Hills State.

The Orediggers shot 87 times from the field compared to 60 times by the Yellow Jackets. Tech also took advantage of 17 turnovers.

Luke Enos went 12-of-15 from the field for 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Black Hills State. Cain Atkinson also finished with 24 points.

The Yellow Jackets entered the game with a 11-game winning streak. Black Hills State had not lost since a 88-76 loss to Rocky Mountain College on Nov. 14 in Spearfish.

The Yellow Jackets (12-2 overall) return to action today in Havre, Mont., against Montana State University-Northern at 8 p.m.
