Not even the rain could cool the bats of Coon Rapids, Minn., and Missoula, Mont.
Despite a 35-minute rain delay, Coon Rapids won an offensive showcase, 17-11, on Friday afternoon.
Each team had 12 hits, but Coon Rapids had a pair of three-run home runs, and used a nine-run third inning to take a lead they would not relinquish.
Devin Croal and Mike Latta hit homers for the Minnesotans with Latta, Tony Remund and Jeremy Oakley leading the way with two hits each.
For Missoula, Sam Sopko went 3-for-5 with four RBI, Brody Miller had two doubles and two RBIs and Robby King also had two hits.
