SIOUX FALLS - Former Rapid City radio voice Bob Laskowski has retired from full-time broadcasting.

Laskowski has partnered with Craig Mattick at KWSN in Sioux Falls since 2006.

He told the Sioux Falls Argus-Leader that his final broadcast as part of KWSN's afternoon "Sports Talk with Craig and Bob" is today.

According to the KWSN Web site, John Gaskins will become co-host of the show with Mattick on Tuesday.

A native of Turtle Lake, Wis., Laskowski began his broadcast career at KRSD Radio in Rapid City in 1961. He left Rapid City for jobs in other states for a brief time, but returned in 1971 and provided radio coverage of sports in the Black Hills area for 35 years, including radio coverage for KOTA and KTOQ, and had stints as sports director at both KOTA and KEVN television.

He and wife Sandy left Rapid City in 2006 to be closer to grandchildren.
