DICKINSON, N.D. - The Black Hills State women won the Blue Hawk Invitational golf tournament on Monday at Heart River Golf Course behind fourth and fifth place finishes from Katelynn Lamb and A.J. Rolfson, respectively.
Black Hills State finished the event with a total of 704 strokes over the two days to beat Minot State by seven shots. Katie Campbell (179), Anne Langdell (185) and Emily Chapman (191) were the other Yellow Jacket women in the event.
The Minot State men tied Dickinson with 599 strokes apiece and won the men's team event.
South Dakota School of Mines & Technology took third place in the men's event behind a 155 from Brad Schaack. Schaack fired a 73 on Monday to finish ninth, followed by teammate Brandon Eisenbraun, who shot a 72 on Monday after an 84 on Sunday. Cody Vostad (162), Quentin Patterson (165) and Sam Hermanson (170) were the other Hardrocker players in the tournament.
The Mines women took fourth as Ayla Brausen, Jodi Kaup, Jamie Lien and Steph Leber finished 19th through 22nd.
